Welcome to Prints on Cakes! We are dedicated to delivering your custom, edible cake toppers and prints in perfect condition and right on time for your special celebration. Because our products are freshly printed to order, please review our shipping guidelines, processing times, and delivery options below.

Want to get the most out of your celebration? Add those extra cupcake toppers, edible ink pens, or backing sheets to your cart—spend $100 or more, and your express shipping is completely on us!

1. Processing & Production Times

Because every order features custom edible printing, we require time to review, print, quality-check, and package your items.

Standard Processing Time: 1–3 business days.

Please note: Production times are separate from shipping/transit times.

If you are picking up your order from our residence in Heidelberg, VIC 3084, we can arrange pickup within 1-3 business days after you place your order. Please message us your pickup date and time in advance so our team can prepare your order and have it ready to go. You will receive a notification from us when the order is ready for pickup.

2. Shipping Options & Delivery Timeframes

We ship nationwide across Australia using Australia Post and other trusted courier networks to ensure your edible prints arrive safely.

3. Planning for Your Event (Important)

Edible images are made from sugar/wafer sheets and premium food colouring. They are shelf-stable but should be handled with care.

• We highly recommend ordering 1–2 weeks before your event to account for unexpected transit delays.

• If your event is less than a week away, please select Express Shipping and message us in order to fast-track your order.

• Our edible prints can be stored for 12 months when stored as directed. We always recommend our customers to use them within 4 months to retain the vibrancy of the colours. 

4. 🍰 Large Events & Bulk Orders

Planning a massive corporate event, a major milestone birthday, or ordering for a commercial bakery?

• Bundling your items into a single bulk order easily qualifies you for Free Standard Shipping.

• For massive custom orders requiring multi-location transport or specialised courier handling, please contact our team directly at sales@printsoncakes.com.au before placing your order so we can optimise your delivery timeline and logistics.

5. Packaging & Care During Transit

Your edible prints are sealed in moisture-proof, food-safe zip-lock bags and shipped in rigid, heavy-duty cardboard mailers or boxes to prevent bending and protect them from climate elements during transit.

• Ensure you leave the image in the zip-lock bag until you are ready to use it.

• Store your prints in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Do not refrigerate.

6. Tracking Your Order

Once your order has been carefully printed, packed, and scanned by our team, you will receive an automated email containing your tracking number. You can use this link to monitor your cake topper’s journey right to your doorstep.

7. Returns & Damaged Items

Because our products are perishable food items and customised to your specific images/text, we cannot accept returns due to a change of mind or event cancellations.

However, if your order arrives damaged due to transit mishandling, please take photos of the damaged packaging and product immediately, and contact us at sales@printsoncakes.com.au within 24 hours of delivery. We will fast-track a replacement or provide a solution for you.
